If you look closely, you'll see the silhouette of  dragon in the moon.
They call her the silver in the moon (the type of dragon she is differs from tribe to tribe), they say that she used to be a hero way back when Pyrrhia was first formed.
 She was killed when saving a Skywing from certain death.The skywing,having control over a great magic yet unknown to the fledgling dragon kind,
cast her shadow onto the moon, so that her heroism would never be forgotten.
Some say that when the world is in the gravest of dangers, she will come back once more, to save her beloved species.
